for those of you who don't know, an unknown person/group disliked A SINGLE USER so much that they attacked multiple websites yesterday. twitter, google, and facebook have recovered, but good ol' livejournal has not. this is both hilarious and annoying, obviously.

Date: 2009-08-09 01:34 am (UTC)I'm also finally back up on LJ, hopefully for good, but not by any intervention of my own. They did eventually update their off-site status page. I know they were probably still dealing with a lot of fallout from the attacks and busy with that, but having worked in an extremely high-paced and stressful customer service environment, I know just how quickly frustration can be dealt with by letting people know that you know they're having a problem and you're working on fixing it. Uncertainty and confusion just drives most people batty, and it can be a deceptively simple thing to deal with. /2cents
